Two kinds of raspberry groups exist in Chile: "remontantes", which yield two crops a year and "non-remontantes" (one crop a year). Non-remontantes group is harvested from early to mid-November through early January, while the remontantes produce a second crop between March and May. The principal export cultivar is the Heritage, which represents about 85% of total raspberry exports.
